📌 Job Overview
The Chef De Partie is responsible for managing a specific section of the kitchen (such as hot kitchen, cold kitchen, pastry, or specialty cuisine). This role ensures high-quality food production, consistency in taste and presentation, and effective supervision of junior kitchen staff in a fast-paced, international galley environment.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
- Manage and operate an assigned kitchen section independently
- Prepare and cook dishes as per recipes and company standards
- Ensure consistency in quality, portioning, and presentation
- Supervise and train Commis chefs and Demi Chef De Partie
- Maintain hygiene and sanitation standards (HACCP compliance)
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with inventory/store team
- Ensure proper storage and rotation of ingredients (FIFO method)
- Assist Sous Chef in daily kitchen operations
- Maintain discipline and teamwork within the section
👨🍳 Skills & Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Hotel Management or Culinary Arts preferred
- 3–6 years of experience in a professional kitchen (hotel/cruise/fine dining)
- Strong knowledge of international cuisines and advanced cooking techniques
- Leadership skills to manage a kitchen section and team
- Ability to work under pressure in high-volume service
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
🌍 Employment Details
- Contract duration: 6–9 months (renewable)
- Work environment: Multinational team onboard
